She departed Rotterdam on 13 -10-1972 for her final trip to Australia and left Melbourne 13-11 1972 but returned several years later in 14-1-1987 she arrived in Fremantle.

Johan van Oldenbarnevelt: 1930 Built by Nederland Ship building Co, Amsterdam.
Tonnage 19787 gross. Named in honour of a sixteenth- century Dutch statesman who was executed by his political enemies.
One of the biggest Dutch Passenger ships.
1950 Departed Amsterdam 5th September for her first voyage to Australia arriving in Fremantle 5th October1950, Melbourne 9th Oct. and Sydney 12th
1963 on the 8th March she was handed over to the Greek shipping line and her name was chanced in Lakonia.
1963 29th December Lakonia sank some 250 Miles west of Gibraltar.

Orion__________ORION was built in 1935 in Barrow. Her maiden voyage to Australia. Departing Tilbury 29-9-1935 She became a troop ship in W.W. 2 and resumed the srevice to Australia 25-2-1947. Her final voyage was 28-2-1963 leaving Tilbury. called in at Pireaus . She left Sydney on 8-4-1963 Melbourne 11-4-1963 and Fremantle 51-4-1963 returning to Tilbury.

Volendam Built: 1922 in Belfast. First voyage to Australia leaving Batavia July 1946 arriving in Sydney 14-10-1946 and 10 days later Melbourne and visited Fremantle before returning to Rotterdam. She usually made one trip to Australia each year. Her last Australian voyage was on 17-10-1950 from Rotterdam arrived in Fremantle 20-11-1950 and Melbourne 27-11-1950 leaving Sydney on 2 December via Jakarta to Rotterdam.
